Hidden Heroes 2024

Honoring LVMPD’s Air Support/Search and Rescue was very timely for our 7th Annual Hidden Heroes Black & White Gala. Air Support made headlines right before the gala when a LVMPD K9 was stabbed and needed immediate medical treatment to save his life. The animal hospital was miles away from the scene and the fastest way was to transport the K9 was by air. If it were not for Air Support’s timely response, the K9 Unit would have lost one of their heroes. While their actions that day made the news, their everyday heroism is hardly recognized by the public. Search and Rescue go beyond our city lines and save lives in the most challenging and remote terrain. While they are on the front lines, they are hidden in our skies, mountains, and unchartered land. We salute these heroes who go beyond their duty to protect and serve our community.
